Glasgow based producer and DJ, Jon Phonics has been steadily making a name for himself with his unique blend of glitchy, deep textured, soulful productions, drawing as much from early 00s grime as it does 90's hip-hop & 80s funk. Previous releases include a spot on Gilles Peterson's Brownswood Bubblers, as well as a limited edition beat tape cassette release ‘Rugers’ via Bleep (which sold out in under an hour) earlier this year.
For his new EP ‘Domino Effect’ released on January 13th, Jon teams up with Trinidadian Londoner Tabanca. The singer-songwriter makes her debut on the EP, perfectly blessing Jon’s beats with her sultry vocals to deliver his most rnb pop-inspired record to date.
The digital remix EP and 12" vinyl follows on January 20th, complete with remixes by a host of UK production talents, including Slugabed, U and Pedestrian.
